Automatic vehicle recognition — UHF
A driver carrying a passive UHF tag passes the UHF reader at the entrance; on valid recognition the barrier lifts, otherwise access is denied. Tags come in two forms: an anti-metal tag fixed to the edge of the number plate, or an anti-tear tag pasted inside the windshield (on metal-tempered film, a small area of film equal to the tag is removed to avoid interference).
Number-plate verification — LPR
LPR uses computer video-image recognition at the entrance to read the plate's characters, number and colour. If the plate is valid the barrier lifts; otherwise access is denied. Dual authentication combines UHF and LPR — both must verify successfully before the barrier lifts, adding a second layer of security.

Blacklist & whitelist management
The car-park software includes role management and black/white lists. Whitelisted vehicles — fire trucks, police cars and privileged vehicles — enter and exit free of charge, while blacklisted vehicles are blocked entirely.
